QA DEPARTMENT MANAGER

I started with the group as a warehouse operative on 4th May 2013 after leaving Ultra Finishing for a new challenge. Soon after, the company acquired additional warehouses, and due to my previous experience, I was given the opportunity to set up the picking bays and organise the stock transfer to the new sites.

The group recognised my enthusiasm, and in June 2013 I was promoted to the new role of Goods in Supervisor. Within the same few weeks I was selected to attend the 10 Step management course; the first of its kind to train new management.

In August 2013 an opportunity arose for an Operations Team Leader within the warehouse. I was selected for the role and remained as a team leader for a couple of years. In this time I had assistance from many peers including HR to help me in some difficult situations, along with ELM for the health and safety side of the business.

In February 2015 an exciting opportunity came around within the group for a QA Officer, seeing this role was perfect for me I went for this with gusto, as this was the ideal role for me within the group that I have always wanted to do and better myself further. 

Due to the many changes within the group I have come to manage the QA department. With hard work and a lot of support from the management I have come a long way in such a short time.
